What is next?

We are already two months into 2019 and It has been, so far, a busy and fun year. We started off with February Camp which was a good opportunity to celebrate our 10th anniversary with all the kids and young people. We had over 150 kids every day playing sports and making friends, it was definitely one of our favourites. We have also sent 21 young people to a Residential at Loch Eil for a week. Keep an eye to our social media to see all the pictures and videos from this experience and also, very soon, there will be a blog post telling you everything they did in there.

So, after this quick recap of what has happened so far, what is next?

Easter Camp. Dates to be confirmed.

Easter Camp is around the corner and as usual we will host it at Petershill Glasgow Club and St. Roch’s Secondary School. All our activities are free for everyone, participants must be between 5 and 16 years old. We normally have cricket, football, dance and gymnastics as the main activities as well as games. Activities run 10 to 3 p.m. and a bus pick up service is provided for certain areas. As It is still quite early, we don’t have all details confirmed so, if you are interested on taking part or bringing your kids in, please keep an eye on all our platforms for the updates. Probably around March all the information will be published.

Glasgow Kiltwalk – Sunday 28th April.

We are looking for a minimum of 100 walkers to participate, we would love to see lots of green T-shirts this year amongst the walkers. Last years’ Glasgow Kiltwalk was the largest so far: 10,000 people walking to support causes that are close to their heart, what a brilliant day! Furthermore,  Sir Tom Hunter will top up any money raised by an extra 40% which makes a great difference for charities like ours. Because we would like to encourage you to join in, Achieve  More Scotland will pay registration fees for those who pledge to raise £150. What do you think? If you are interested on walking for Achieve More, please email Toni at [email protected] and she will help you in the process.

Achieve More Scotland Annual Ball/10th Birthday celebration – Saturday 25th May.

This year is going to be our most especial  Ball at the Grand Central Hotel, we have decided to transform this event into a great birthday party where all our supporters, our staff and some of our young people can come together and celebrate in a night full of entertainment. If you want to come along, the tables are priced at £500 for table of 10, and also individual tickets are available also at £50 per person. This price includes drink reception, a three course dinner, and a band & DJ that will liven up the end of the night . This event will count with Edward Reid as a host. To purchase your ticket, please contact Toni Crawford at [email protected]

Zip Slide across the Clyde – Saturday 22nd June.

Last year the Zip Slide across the Clyde was one of our highlights of the summer, it is scary but also a good experience to have in your pocket and everyone who took part felt amazing when they touched the floor again. This year we are looking for a minimum of 15 participants for this fundraising activity, and as well as at the Kiltwalk, Achieve More Scotland will pay registration fees for those who pledge to raise £150. Are you ready to take up the challenge?
