This week, Achieve More has joined charities and other public bodies across the country in celebration of Mental Health Awareness Week. A campaign to raise awareness and promote positive changes to improve everyone's mental health. Furthermore, the theme of the campaign is a common effort to reconnect with nature and sport. Thanks to our work, we have witnessed the impact in one person's life of regular physical activity and the key role that it can play on early development.

This year we decided to open our annual online dance competition to all kids and young people! We have three categories: Tik tok dance, Choreography and Christmas theme. This year has been a year like no other. None of us have ever lived through a pandemic, a lockdown and seen so many restrictions imposed on us. We understand why these decisions were taken and we understand that this current situation has left us all with many challenges. We at Achieve More Scotland understand the challenges that you have all faced: Not being able to meet up and socialise with your friends, not being able to participate in sport

My name is James McGuire and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. I am 26 years old and I have returned to Madrid after 2 years to undergo a long term European volunteering experience.  My first week has been intense and has involved a lot of trips to the bank and also the police station! I lost

We leave you here the words from Ana talking about her volunteering experience in Scotland. She was working with Achieve More Scotland participating in a youth led project from the 29th of June to the 20th of July of 2019. This project has been funded by the Erasmus+ programme. “An incredible and unbelievable experience, thanks Scotland” I describe myself as… A solidary person, empathetic and happy that takes care of her environment and her loved ones. I can’t live without… Art, animals, nature and cactus. Why did I decide to have

We finish #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek with a last testimony from one of our staff members who shares his experience and struggles with body image. How body Image affects men? I think body image affects men in different ways. Especially in society today with social media etc. Portrayed to have 6 packs and stuff which can lead to people being depressed anxious constantly. What can be done for men struggling with this? There is help out there to speak to people if they are struggling but I know that

Well what a campaign it was, thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to our daily case studies from young people, youth workers and local partners who have all benefited from Erasmus+ via our social media and thank you to those who caught our national coverage on the Nine News last Monday (we will showing this again next week, if you missed it).  The last two weeks seen our message that no access to Erasmus+ will have a long term negative

As we make our way through the ongoing headlines, mostly involving pushing the telly from room to room in the office to find the looming BREXIT in bold black writing, we are making our views on Brexit heard in the incoming weeks. We want to showcase the invaluable work of Erasmus+ in Scotland, led by youth organisations in some of Scotland’s most deprived communities. Erasmus+ is one element of the negotiations that has not had its time to shine due to
