Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 | Express Yourself

Achieve More Scotland is proud to support Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 which takes place from February 1-7, raising awareness of the mental health challenges that many young people face.

The initiative was created by Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity that provides counselling and mental health support and training in UK schools. This year’s theme is ‘Express Yourself.’

The ‘Express Yourself’ theme is all about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity, whether they be in art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.

It’s important to remember that being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others. It is about finding ways to help you feel good about yourself.

At Achieve More Scotland we believe that mental health goes hand-in-hand with physical health, so we are very keen to support Children’s Mental Health Week 2021. The past year has been an incredibly difficult one children and young people and we want to continue to support them through our online activities, particularly those that encourage our participants (and their families) to express themselves.
For Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 children (and adults) will be encouraged to explore the different ways they can express themselves, and the creative ways that they can share feelings, thoughts and ideas.
