Working with Schools
What do we deliver?
We currently operate in a number of primary and SEN schools across Glasgow and North Lanarkshire delivering a range of services and activities, including:
Activity Based learning
Achieve More Scotland provide jointly agreed programmes of play, sport and physical well-being sessions as part of Curriculum Time physical education learning. We provide a minimum of 2 x hours per week of physical activity/literacy to each year group. The service is proven to enhance pupil learning and create positive school experiences through the improvement of physical and mental health and well-being for primary school pupils, with identified benefits to learning, behaviour, attendance and academic achievement.
In a number of schools, our team members work with individual pupils to support them. This has proven to improve the individual’s school experience, their in-school behaviour and their relationships with teaching staff and pupils alike, including for many, sustaining the school placement.
Out of School Clubs
We provide programmes of play, sport and physical activity sessions as part of breakfast, lunch and/or after-school ‘physical literacy’ clubs on up to 5 days per week of term time for primary schools.
If you want to know more about our work at schools or you want us to come and deliver some of these activities at your school, please contact us.
