A week to remember
The Rezzy Achieve more Scotland carried out their largest residential yet, this involved 21 young people being given the opportunity to take part in outward bound activities such as ; abseiling , hill walking , canoeing , team building activities and camping. During the 5 days, we went through many ups and downs, and found more activities challenging than others, but with each other at hand we encouraged all to keep pushing and conker our ‘chimp brain’. Zip Slide the Clyde for Glasgow’s Young People
Achieve More Scotland are holding an event – Zip Slide across the Clyde on Saturday 15th September. The height of the crane is roughly 130ft-170ft and the distance travelled is approximately 750ft-1400ft. So why not go soaring across the Clyde taking in the views while raising money for a very worthy cause?
Nike has given us a unique opportunity
Thanks to our partnership with sports giants Nike, 16 young people involved in our football programme we invited to participate in the week long Manchester United Summer Soccer Schools which took place at Denstone College and Rugby School in July. As part of the programme, a soccer skills challenge took place and one of our participants – Jack Morran from Blackhill won the challenge. Holiday Programmes
During 2015 we have delivered another round of successful holiday programmes at Petershill Leisure Centre and Kingsway Multi Use Games Area. We catered for an average of 150 young people each day at Easter, Summer and October and thanks to Bauer Radio Cash For Kids every participant was fed each day.
