Today we interview Eve, one of the participants of our activities Why body image affects so many young woman/girls ? I think that body image affects so many young girls today because from a young age we are taught to look a specific way , the ideal “look” is incredibly unrealistic however when girls realise they don’t fit into that specific category of what’s beautiful , they start to believe that they are not worth it. Media Influences today is also a big factor, girls
Erasmus+ gave me the confidence to support young people when they experience transforming life experiences and develop their views on the world, and for that I have become a better youth worker who wants to dedicate his time to Glasgow communities.
The Rezzy Achieve more Scotland carried out their largest residential yet, this involved 21 young people being given the opportunity to take part in outward bound activities such as ; abseiling , hill walking , canoeing , team building activities and camping. During the 5 days, we went through many ups and downs, and found more activities challenging than others, but with each other at hand we encouraged all to keep pushing and conker our ‘chimp brain’. On the Thursday night
Nowadays society's standards are set so high for young people to be "Perfect" and not the same as everyone around them. In my opinion, our environment is now beginning to turn toxic and people are turning on the people who have the guts to be different. I was recently in Madrid for 30 days during the month of July, volunteering with Achieve More Scotland as part of programme. I’ve been home for just over a month and I feel this is the best time to reflect on my experience and share it with other people who may want to do something similar in the future. Its safe to say the experience was unforgettable and will stay with me forever. During my time in Madrid, I had been presented with a number
Throughout previous years body image has become an increasingly bigger problem. Looking back as far as I can remember my generation grew up with celebrities plastered all over tv and magazines. This influence made it incredibly hard to appreciate your body when you think you look nothing like how your “supposed” to. Over the years social media has only got bigger and more common for young people to use. I can only imagine how much harder it is in this

The height of the crane is roughly 130ft-170ft and the distance travelled is approximately 750ft-1400ft. So why not go soaring across the Clyde taking in the views while raising money for a very worthy cause?
Hey, my name's Sam. I'm twenty years old and I'm a young person who recently joined the amazing team at Achieve More Scotland. My goal for the next six weeks is to grab your attention and make you think about some of the major issues facing thousands of young people all over the UK. I strongly believe that we as young people deserve to have our voices heard, we deserve the same opportunities and we deserve just as much support and encouragement
